Washington D.C.

Back to Fort Reno
Back to 2005 Northeast Highpoint Expedition

While I was in Washington, DC, I made the obligatory stops at the major tourist destinations.  Happily, the Smithsonian museums have free admission, but, to make up for it, the food is outrageously priced.

Washington Monument.

The White House.  (I think this is the back side.)

The Capitol.

The Smithsonian Natural History Museum has this very nice sample of elemental carbon on display.
Unfortunately, I was not able to acquire it for my collection.

The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum provides some information on the Venus highpoint.
Anyone up for an expedition?

Many of the DC license plates reference the limited representation in Congress that the district has.
