Samford - W 4-0 - Fri 22 Aug 2008
Texas opens the season with a 4-0 win, with Stephanie Logterman
picking up two of the goals, her biggest one game tally as a Longhorn.
CoCo Goodson and Amanda Lisberger
also scored for Texas, in their first games as Longhorns.
Next up is a trip to Kentucky.
Texas has really improved the stadium scoreboard. Last year, it was a static one color display, with half the bulbs burnt
out. Now, there is a full color videotron, showing the live action and replays. It is really nice.

Louisville - W 1-0 (OT) - Sun 31 Aug 2008
Louisville seemingly had the best of the attacking chances, especially in the first half, but they were not able to convert this into any goals. The game went into overtime, and Niki Arlitt scored for Texas, to give the Longhorns a 1-0 win.

Three goals for the Longhorns in the first half were enough to seal the result. The second half was sloppier, but Texas still gets the win.
Arizona - W 2-1 (OT) - Sun 7 Sep 2008
Texas didn't play very well for much of the first half, and Arizona scored the first goal. In the second half, CoCo Goodson scored from a fine header to even the tally. Regular time ended with the score tied 1-1, and the game went into overtime. In the second overtime, Texas earned a free kick not far from the Arizona goal. The initial service was knocked directly up in the air, and it fell again near goal, and CoCo Goodson claimed it for her second goal of the game, giving Texas the 2-1 win.
Courtney Goodson heads in the winning goal.

Texas A&M - T 0-0 (OT) - Fri 27 Sep 2008
Texas came out with great intensity, and dominated much of the first half, more than I have ever seen them do against the Aggies. However, they did not convert this into any goals, despite some good chances, mostly on corner kicks. In the second half, the Longhorns seemed to have lost much of their energy, worn out from all the effort in the first half, and the Aggies had the better of play in most of the second half. The game went to overtime and finished scoreless, the first draw in the history of the series between the two teams. The crowd of 5585 was the largest to ever watch the Longhorns play.
